Voltanya's been at Elisa's side since they were kids. When Elisa wanted to join the Freak Show, Volt came along for the ride. She got cybernetic augmentations that lets her manipulate energy, and hence picked out the nickname 'Voltanya' to replace the less cool handle of 'TJ' she had in elementary school.

When Elisa left the Freak Show, Volt left too. The gang was annoying but mostly, she left because Elisa left. Voltanya doesn't do the heavy thinking -- and thus heavy worrying -- Elisa does, opting to live for the moment. Zapping people and blowing things up is fun, and doing it for the right cause (at least whatever Elisa is saying is the right cause) is even better!

She doesn't specifically have a team of her own, despite being at T.C.B. level; but she does make friends easily and often works as a liaison to superheroes outside of the crew, participating in their efforts just as readily as her own crew's efforts.
