Oni are Japanese child-snatching demonic giants! Well, really they’ll snatch anyone, it would seem… and they shapeshift. It’s an unfortunate combination of powers, really. But I’m sure this one is totally just friendly.
When I got the request to draw this one, he also asked me to paint one with more traditional Japanese colors, like so:
